Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Masi Questions

I have a 1983 American MASI w/Campi 50th anniversary Groupo-complete. I have the original groupo box and registration card w/serial number etc. I also believe I have all original MASI paperwork. My deceased husband had the bike constructed in 1983, rode it for a couple of years then got into mountain bikes and the bike has been hanging in the garage for over 12 years. I am interested in selling it. However, I have no idea how much to ask. It cost about $1300.00 to put together in 83'. My husband got the Groupo from a friend that won it in a card game - He paid $500.00 for the Groupo which was going for around $750.00 at the time. The groupo has 24karat gold inlaid coins on most of the components. The bike is in very good condition and the Groupo is in excellent condition. It needs tires, a good cleaning and the saddles surface is damaged.

Do you have any suggestions how I should proceed in finding a buyer, how I can get the bike appraised (or what it's worth) and any links that might help me? Is selling on Ebay a good way to go?

Thank you
