If you are really careful you can usually bend these screws back to useable straightness with a screwdriver and gentle patience.. The cages can be replaced but it is tricky business replacing the aluminum "rivets."

Messed up in what way? These headsets are very durable ... Just have it machined and pressed in properly with the correct (Campagnolo?) tools...Yes, Super Record headsets are aluminum and easier to mess up!

<<- I'm in the process of getting wheels, and was gonna put a 6sp freewheel on some wheels spaced 126mm and then just putting them in the frame. Since the frame is steel, I figured it would be ok, but does anybody have any suggestions as to how to work around this? >>

Only 2 mm per side won't matter much, but again a well equipt bike shop can "set" the rear end using a Campy straight edge and H tools. It should be done with the bottom bracket unit out of the frame so you can use the bbkt. shell faces to get perfect alignment.....
