Re eBay bidding, thinking about it, taking one's time and giving it your best offer, etc.: I see recently a buy-it-now button on some auctions, giving one the chance to cut to the chase immediately for a higher price than the initial offering to begin bidding. Last night at least, that helped me immediately put into perspective how much I was willing to pay to be sure to get those Campy SR brake levers with the fresh gummed hoods, for instance.
I find this an interesting development in the eBay scheme of things. (Sorry, I don't mean to drift off-topic here.)
