Subject: [CR]Gnutti hubs

Hi,

I bought a pair of Gnutti hubs at the weekend. They are all chrome 32 40 drillings with solid axles. The rear hub is gear sided only.

I was wondering if they were 50's or 60's?

I was going to build them up on to a pair of Dunlop special stainless steel HP rims using 15/17 guage spokes.

Does that sound like a good combination?

I was also going to use a set of alloy GB Lever type wing nuts.

The above wheels are going to be used on my 1950 Ephgrave. Do they sound period enough??

Cheers,

John.
