Subject: [CR]Meteor (brand) English Touring Bike - Info Wanted

I've been fortunate (I hope!) to purchase a bike pointed out by a fellow list member on ebay, a Meteor touring bike in my size. The seller says it's late 50's, the person who posted it thought '60's. We know it's English but not much more than that.

I'm looking for more information about the brand. The bike I bought is all chrome in finish and has a Stronglight 3-arm 52/36 front and a 14-28 5-speed rear, but I don't know a great deal more about it than that.

Here it is on ebay if anyone wants to look. The auction ended with me as the highest bidder but below the reserve - the seller and I agreed on a purchase price after the auction closed.

Many thanks in advance. Dale, if the bike is interesting to you, I could see if the pictures on ebay could be arranged to be sent to you and put up on your web site. I think it's a pretty cool looking bike. If anyone spots any/all components that don't seem original, let me know. This will be the oldest bike I own by a good 20 years so it's completely out of my knowledge base.
