I'm trying to close a deal on the purchase of an '84 Pro Miyata with a seller who really doesn't have the time, skill, or inclination to pack it up and ship it, or do the leg work with a bike shop that can.
I'm wondering if there might be a list member who could pay this guy, (~$175 US) and then upon receipt of my payment, either pack it up and send it (to the Mailboxes Etc in Ogdensburg NY, I'll then drive down and scoop it up), or find a bike shop who'll do it for a reasonable price.
Maybe a small 'trouble fee' for the individual with the kind heart?
If not I'll just have to chalk it up as a deal missed. The hallmark of my collection, a great deal.
