Goes to show advertising hype related to bikes isn't new. This guy could head up a marketing department today. Note that the photo of the bike doesn't show nearly as many plastic components as the copy describes. I seem to recall seeing other ads with a photo of a totally plastic bike, maybe even spokes, as described in the past thread I referred to. Considering some of the components that have since been manufactured from carbon fibre/ composites, it's maybe not so incredible people believed the story, but the level of hype in the ads (impervious to bullets and sulfuric acid) should have made one suspicious.
