Ah, the Cirque du Cyclisme! A chance to see folks once again, meet folks face to face you've had dealings with online, a golden opportunity to hang out and soak up the atmosphere ...
If you were one of the unfortunate ones who missed it, this was a wonderful event this year! The presenters Saturday were excellent; the rides were fun; and the bikes displayed were wonderful.
Thanks for the ale, Chris. Thanks for amusing me by recovering from a Vittoria Margherita-dropped chain by repairing it while still riding, Aldo. Thanks for the good vibes, all. And I was bad and didn't get the name of the fellow I bought the green Falcon San Remo frameset from, but special thanks to you, too - I think this is going to be really lovely bike when I'm done with it ...
Let's see - came back with the afore-mentioned frameset; a Velo-Retro T-shirt; a Cirque T-shirt; a pair of Universal Super 68 calipers; a pair of 1st gen Dura-Ace calipers; a new Mavic MA rim; some lightly used tires; a set of Campy 980 derailleurs ... all in all, a nice little haul for me.
