You folks can imagine how much business CDO does with these various shippers... Based on my experience:

USPS is not so great if & when it comes to insurance claims. And they do not offer the tracking service on par with UPS.

Yes, UPS IS a rough neck outfit, so you need to anticipate that and over box and hyper protect your goods. IMO most of the damaged merchandise we see with UPS could have been avoided with better packaging. We get hundreds of UPS deliveries every week with very very few problems. They also hold your feet to the fire to prove fault in insurance claims. But that is more and more true with any insurance claim adjusters as things get tighter economically.

FED EX ground (the old RPS) is really good right nowe because they are trying to grab some of UPS's business. They are spotty on who they serve, i.e., not all residential address deliveries are available. But probably the best bet at the moment
