Sending a generous fund and specific instuctions to the
sender of your new treasure seems like the right thing
to do,but don't underestimate other people's wisdom.My
story: About '88 I found out that a LBS of the Huffy
kind in Ohio had a large Bianchi Paris-Roubaix up on the
racks in the back .I phoned for photos which showed how
much of it was intact and phoned back to say the check
was in the mail after seeing the pictures. I sent him
$50 for shipping and detailed instructions similar to
what we've been saying including having the frame alone
in one box and the parts in another.Ten days later, the
torn bicycle box appeared in my driveway with the
framehead hanging out the front naked and the Paris-
Roubaix mech peeking out the side . Rear wheel still in
the frame had broken one of the teeth out of a
dropout.Front wheell loose in the box had elaborately
scratched the unwrapped tubes . Clown simply couldn't be
bothered to do the work . Enclosed a check for $34 since
the single box only cost $16 UPS in '88.Couldn't be
bothered to do the work.
