How did I get the virus? The previous night I'd sent the account of my trip to CduC, and a dozen listmembers emailed me with tales of their own animal rescues.

The virus-contaminated email quoted the paragraph about the dog, so I thought someone was sending a pic of an animal they'd saved. Just that quickly, I had the virus.

Luckily it's an easy clean if you removes those three key files, and monitors their puters for awhile. Just follow the directions at one of the virus websites. I use McAfee, and my puter is clean now.

Before I'm accused of being Typhoid Aldo, let's remember I wasn't the one who introduced the virus to the list... who sent it to me, Brandon, etc??? I deleted all my email records, so I don't recall who it was.

Yes, I placed 2nd in the "dumb enough to open a virus" contest. But hey, how many of you are currently tied for third? ;-)
