Oh, now I get it! Why didn't you say you were talking about the "football" barends in the first place? I thought you meant cork handlebar plugs like the pros used long ago.

Yeah, those are in the Cycles Rexor Catalog 1931-32 (France) that I sell on the Velo-Retro website! They're the ones that look like little, teeny footballs, right. The French love 'em. From what I understand they were a homage to Knut Rockne of Notre Dame fame. (Makes no sense why the French would love an American football coach, but I guess it is like the French and Jerry Lewis?) Exact replica of a Spalding pigskin right down to the lacing; an ink imprint on the cork to simulate lacing!

Sorry to say the last pair of Rexor "football" barends I saw were a month ago on eBay. Went for $1700 or $1800... look up the bid history, maybe the guy will sell them to you.
