Scott,

I noticed that the auction mentioned that the Drysdale is new-old-stock, never built up and has: "Chater-Lea forged bottom bracket shell. Chater-Lea bottom bracket."

Sounds like Chater-Lea might be more appropriate? Both Chater-Lea and BSA were the finest England had to offer in the 20s and 30s.

Velo-Retro has the following catalogs reproduced. Lots of info:

BSA Cycle Fittings Catalog 1927 -- 6 pages, shows the distinctive chain wheel incorporating the Trade Mark letters "BSA", lugs, cranks, pedals, headsets, hubs, handlebars and the B.S.A. American Racing Frame. B&W cover. $2

Chater-Lea Cycles & Tandems Catalog 1928 -- 16 pages, charming pen drawings of this English manufacturer of high quality cycle parts and bikes. B&W cover. $5

Chater-Lea Catalog 1931 -- 22 pages, shows lugs, cranks, pedals, headsets, hubs for cycles, tandems and carrier tricycles from this famous English company. B&W cover. $5
