With reference to the Australian site and the 1915 BSA brochure quoted there; evidently there was a great deal of concern about the BSA trademark and imitation or "pattern" parts. Both Bill Brennan, Pop's son, and Joe Nevelle, nephew (I think) of the trainer of Frank Kramer used to reverentially say "genuine" BSA whenever referring to BSA. Also it seems that many pre-war Paramounts had the Schwinn parts removed and BSA substituted.
