Greetings to all , My name is Jim , im new to this forum as of today ,Im reading the post about Confente built Masi's . In 1975 I had a Masi built for my "2nd comeback" as a road racer , my frame has no serial no. only the MC61 to identify it . I was told by the shop owner that the MC stood for Masi California and the 61 for the size . Iv read several times on the net that MC stands only for Masi Ca. The seller is Sterling Peters, a fellow listmember. He is also a fellow listmember who I have purchased items from in the past and would do so in the future with confidence. Always fair with price and product. I would consider him a very trustworthy source and if there is misleading info, it might be from what the seller was told when he purchased the bicycle. I don't believe it would be intentional. Is it possible that the frame was repainted in another year other than the ones you checked or by someone else? Maybe an answer would help clarify any questions concerning this auction.
