Minor points:

1) Use a 6 x 1.0 mm die, 5 mm is not the right size. 2) Use the rear nutted centerbolt as the front allen centerbolt (they're the same length), then modify the front nutted bolt (really long) for use as the rear allen centerbolt (really short). 3) After extending the threads on the bolt, screw a 6mm nut (or the die) all the way onto the bolt and then cut the bolt. After making the cut, the removal of this nut will restore the thread where it gets mashed by your hacksaw.

...and like Dale said, lotsa oil!
