Now I'm curious - it notes that the original LeTour used butted top and down tubes. Was that generic hi-ten sort of stuff?

It also notes that the Super LeTour used double-butted tubing - was that good chro-mo, or generic stuff again?

I will note in passing that the original Schwinn LeTour, to me, seemed to be one of the bikes that epitomizes the great Bike Boom. My three main riding buddies in the mid-70s all rode them. As they came in three colors, and they were all taken, I felt obligated to get something else ...
