Mike -

I suspect that the DeRosa in question is probably late '70s at the earliest, but more likely of '80s (maybe even late '80s) vintage. There are definitely mixed-era components. Hubs are C-Record, and the seat post and front derailleur look like they might be C-Rec as well. The crankset is Super Record, as the brakeset appears to be (although the calipers are hard to see). What I'm most curious about is the rear derailleur. While it's pretty hard to tell from the picture, the RD looks like it might be first generation Super Record, which would date it somewhere about '73-'75.

Yes indeed, a curious mix.
