Someone with a Sutherland's guide can maybe confirm this, but I think the Huret bolts are 5 x .9, coarser than the Campy (and now world standard) 5 x .8

This is no problem as long as you use 5 x .8 bolts. Don't try to use the Huret bolts. Tapping would almost certainly ruin the braze-ons; "elbow grease" would probably ruin both the braze-ons and the bolts. Find some D-ring bolts with no logo on them, and only seven people on earth will ever notice they aren't right.
