hello all. it is a blistering 108 degrees on the thermometer outside my window right now. glad i got up early for a short but pleasant ride with my nephew visiting from montana.(want to see a 42 year old woman outride a 15 year old boy whose only transportation is a bike? the gal is used to the heat and humidity, the boy is not by a long shot-still felt good though i knew i had a distinct advantage) previously i have seen mention of the orbit marque on this list. a friend came up with one and was looking for info about the company. info any of you could provide would be appreciated. and though i haven't put the photos on the photopoint page yet, i have another frame that came through the other day i would like to identify. it is a pleasant blue with a white panel on the seattube. there are world champ stipes at top and bottom of the panel. there are very nice extra long point lugs with standard cut-outs painted the white of the panel and headtube. little stars on the bottle braze-ons of which there are two sets. other braze-ons include three cable guides on top of toptube, shift lever bosses on downtube, cable guides on top of bb shell and housing stop on chainstay. the fork crown is painted blue with chromed blades. the fork drops are marked shimano and the rear drops are some kind of ugly vertical things. there are also nice wrap-around seatstays. the bb shell is marked on bottom tange champion. there is also a serial number that i didn't write down. the parts were a mix. campag front der, seatpost(two-bolt 26.8) bb, headset and cranks(super record) the rear der was a suntour sprint, the hubs shimano low flange with grease ports, and the shifters simplex. will get the photos posted this week under this email address. there are some photos of the recent follis and a gios torino i've had sitting around for awhile. will also post photos of a raleigh super course that i would like to trade. it is in great shape but don't want to sell. it is too small for me(52c) and i would trade for something comparable in a 55 or 56c(the pump and waterbottle are not included). anyone coming to kansas for the infamous flint hills death ride? there's a great little salvadorian eatery in emporia. highly recommended for an after ride stop. peace sarah-the thermometer hasn't moved for three hours-at least it is not going up
