Hi Garth,

My frame does sound very much like yours. It certainly seems like the same materials were used, the only difference being the badging and possbily paint scheme. What color is your Prestige frame? I would be interested to know if there are any differences in geometry. Mine being the Team frame, I would expect a more agressive geometry. Also, it would be nice to know if they came from the same factory.

Let me guess, you're using a MAC computer? I have some friends who use Macs who have trouble opening the larger pictures on the Fototime site. I think it's a setting in the browser. If you can't find the setting and are interested in seeing larger pictures of my bike, I'll be happy to email them to you. Just let me know which pictures you're interested in.

Regards,

Warren

Hello Warren: I own a 1986 Raleigh Prestige frame (54 cm) that was sold as a frameset only and manufactured in England. I wonder how similar our two frames are. Your website refuses to enlarge pictures when they are clicked on, so I am only guessing that the frames much alike. Mine has the same 531C decals (fork blades, stays, and butted frame tubes). The fork crown seems to be the same sloping variety. My dropouts are all Campy, and the lugs are all short point with little filing. The headbadge reads Raleigh of America, but other stickers indicate "made in England". The wheelbase is 39.25 inch for the 54 cm frame, and the top tube is 21.25 (C to C). Mine is all Superbe Pro and Cinelli, but I dearly wished to find a Campy NR, however I happened upon this one, which probably is at least as functional derailleur and bearing wise. Does your frame sort of sound like mine? Garth in Surfside Fl. and former San Francisco resident and former San Diego resident.
