So now I'm confused. My recollection (perhaps a faulty
one?) is that the SR spindles were too flexible and the
trick was to simply replace them with NR spindles. But
that sounds unlikely, based on the explanations that've
been posted so far. Was it the BB spindle that people
replaced with a NR piece?
