Hi All, I bought this bike for the frame which I like very much. Its my first road bike since my college days (15 years or so). I am trying to date it within a few years at least. It has a full Sachs-Huret 6000 Gruppo, with down tube shifters, 7 speed (14 total gears). The Sachs-Huret gruppo (especially the brakes) don't impress me at all, but I believe it is all original and should help me date the bike. And of course my next problem is what gruppo to purchase and install. It goes without saying a campy gruppo of some sort is in order, how much $$ to spend is the real question. Purchasing a new bike would have been the smart thing to do, but after finding out about this list, via Sterling Peters I am hooked on steel framed road bikes.
