GILLOTT ROAD FRAME 23in frame number 501827, 1950. Very fine Gillott spearpoint lugs, Gillott rear road ends. No transfers and indifferent paint. Photos and catalogue copy available. This one of the nicest Gillott road frames I have seen. $225

GILLOTT ROAD/TRACK FRAME 23in frame number 523065 1952. Gillott spearpoint lugs. Round fork blades and slightly fancy fork crown. Rearward facing rear ends - some body has drilled and tapped these for mudguard stays - this is easily filled. And they also indented the right hand chainstay for chainwheel clearance but this could easily be filled with braze - it is only small. Some original transfers with a crude attempt at luglining and poor paintwork. Frame appears very sound. Rear steatsy bridge is properly fitted for rear brake. Photos and catalogue copy available. $195

ELLIS BRIGGS INTERNATIONAL FRAME 24in Frame number 3062, ordered for 17/5/1954. This is the fancy lugged top of the range Ellis Briggs frame. This has the original but scruffy paintwork complete with unusual box lining - the vertical lines are all double, the cross lines are single. Stallard road rear ends and built for 26in wheels according to Ellis Briggs. Underneath the right chainstay there is a hook for tension spring for a rear derailleur. I can easily arrange for this frame to be enamelled to the original spec in England at reasonable cost. Photos and catalogue copy available. $225

GW LIGHTWEIGHTS 23in FRAME, 1940. This has attractive pre-war cutaway Brampton lugs and a very fancy double plate fork crown with the extremely flat continental style fork blades produced by Reynolds pre-war. GW Lightweights was run by a guy called Glover I am told and his frames were popular with riders interested in mass start racing. This frame is built for 27in wheels and has had one previous owner. It has been poorly repainted but I am told the downtube transfers were a simple script in red GW LIghtweights. Photos available. $195

DUNLOP SPECIAL LIGHTWEIGHT 27in RIMS 32/40H. Excellent pair with no dents and very good chrome. The brake surface on the rear shows virtually no wear and the front is almost as good. Very rare in this condition. $135

GB HIDUMINIUM BRAKESET complete with early style levers. Very good condition. $125.

GB MAES HANDLEBARS with centre Maes engraved reinforced sleeve. 1950s. Actual engraved area is free of scratches though there are scratches where the stem clamp goes. 38cm wide c-to-c. Very good condition and rare these days. $55

FIAMME 9cm HANDLEBAR STEM Very good condition complete with expander bolt with red F. $45

UNIVERSAL EXTRA SIDE PULL BRAKESET COMPLETE WITH LEVERS. These are quite a deep drop brake (50-70mm approx) and are quite early. Very good condition with no major marks and will polish well. Levers have scruffy hoods. I think these are quite early $65 I can supply a new pair of gum hoods for an extra $30 (only with these brakes not separately)

CLB BRAKESET COMPLETE WITH LEVERS Very good condition. These date from around the 1948-50 period and are a very nice alternative to GB. $145

WEINMANN ALESA 26 x 1 1/4in 3/40HH (pair) RIMSET Excellent condition, very light wear $85

ALLEZ LEATHER HAIRNET HELMET - this appears to be practically unused and is marked with the size 59 on the inside. It looks as if it has hardly been worn if at all. The top surface of the protective ribs is black leather whilst the underside is tan. It is a really wonderful period piece. Allez was the trade name for Holdsworthy cycle components, a famous British firm. $40

BLUEMELS MUDGUARDS: CLUB SPECIAL BLUE NOS no stays or fittings $40 POPULAR RED Slightly Used a few minor marks no stays or fittings $30
