I have a friend who has a pair of mid-70's Maxicar hubs . The rear is 120mm wide. He'd like to use these on a modern 130mm frame, and as some of you know, you can't respace these with a longer aftermarket axle, as you can a Campy or similar hub. I'm guessing that a tandem version in this width may have been made at one time. My question is, does anyone have any info on where Maxicar spares can be had, and can this conversion be done relatively easily, that is, without having to make an axel?
