Hi CR folks,

I know a few things about French bikes but I have no clue on this. I'm in possesion of a LEJUNE frame circa 1970 I guess that looks to be a team-issue type frame. Workmanship and details on it are insanely nice - the chrome headlugs have been built up at the juction of the tubes on the outside (like Singer or Herse often did). The frame is blue with chrome on the lugs, forkcrown, dropouts, and the seatstay cap. The seatstay cap is quite large and is oversize to the stay - like Ralegh often did on the team bikes or Pro's in late 70's. The lugs have a number of holes on the points and the sides and the dropouts are drilled. There are also brazed bosses for centerpull brake mounting. The only weakness of the frame (other than dents and a cracked seatube - built with very light 531 tubing) is that the mitering in the bb is kinda poor, but the brazing quality is amazing. There is a cutout in the bb which looks like an hourglass but with an extra half circle at either end of the otherwise flat top of the hourglass.

The question is does anyone know who made these - is it anyone special, or did LEJUNE have someone in house making their frames who was an exceptional builder? In the 50's and 60's Bianco would be the suspect - but this seems to be a later era.
