Since most the pictures of bikes from the 1930's to the 1950's are in black and white, I'd like to know what were the typical colors used on these vintage bikes.

My 1930's FH Scott and Claud Butler are a great maroon (now there's a word we don't often hear) with gold lug lining. My two early 50's Hetchins are black and royal blue.

This BSA I'm being offered http://www.goldsteinproductions.com/bsa/FrameSet.htm is pink.. It's a respray, but I'd like to know if pink and other bright colors were used in that era.
