Dale,

I tend to agree that the one lug picture looks as if it is made from a Haden blank. Since I paint Richard Moons' frames, I'm familiar with most of what he does. I know that there is a frame under construction (and has been for over a year) that is in fact built from self-made welded stainless steel lugs. I have not seen it yet, but there is no doubt in my mind that it will be nothing short of a masterpiece. This is really doing things the hard way; but that's the only way one can produce one-of-a-kind pieces of art. I'll notify the list when the frame appears for paint and report on it then. Even I'm anxious to see this one!

I think also that the frame shown may be chrome lugs; but it's entirely possible those lugs are actually polished stainless.
