Subject: [CR]Decals and letters

In the early '80s when I refinished my Doniselli I had the body shop mask out the decal and paint around it. I was fortunate in that the decal was and is still in good condition. Not trying to add to the debate but it brought up a question in my own mind. I never put letters on the down tube like the original had. What type of lettering is used on bikes and where does one obtain them?

Last week I did replace the roundels (badges) on my 86 Saab with new ones but the original small ones for the back hatch are no longer made and had to replace it with a larger one. On the other hand I cannot even get touch up paint for my wife's minivan that is the light blue Caravans from the mid 80s to 90s. Probably more of these made than any bike at all (unless they sold them on in Alberta). yet the minivan is newer than the Saab which I can get paint for. Really depends on the company.
