I'm pretty sure the '58s came that way from Campy, even though I've never seen one in the flesh. This is the 4th one I've seen on eBay though, and all 4 had that design. By '59 they were shaped like the Campy cranks we all know and love, with that knife-edge between spider and crank. Don't know if it's better or worse.

The Stronglight 93 (and um, what was the older one called, 63?) are made like that '58 Campy, or should we say the Campy was made like the Stronglight?.
