I remember in the late 70's/early 80's when I was stationed in Norfolk - Virginia Beach, that the Teeuwen brothers, Gerald & Peter, were importing Gazelles. They immigrated to the US from Holland in the 50's and ran a tulip greenhouse. They were sponsors of the Tidewater Bicycle Association, and also the USCF reps for the area. Unfortunately Peter passed away, but Gerald is still active in bicycling, winning a 65+ masters race in 2000.
