Several months ago I had a mid 70s Olmo frame with full Campagnolo Gran Sport gruppo for sale on eBay.The high bidder was a messenger from the Boston area.He was absolutely thrilled that he was able to replace his recently crashed bike with a vintage lugged steel model. He paid for it promptly & was truely proud to have this as his new steed. In many ways this was one of my more memorable sales.Nice to see a young working gentleman who appreciates one of the finer things in life. Nick Zatezalo Atlanta,Ga.

dont have time to really respond to this, as im out the door for a short weekend in the sierras, but

1) its true - we bike messengers love old stuff.

2) thanks! its refreshing to see ones community viewed from that angle rather than the seemingly more typical "those goddamn messengers" angle :)

cheers

the campy bmx cranks broke, is the 1954 s-a alloy-body
