in the contents of the scan-a-thon i found this jpg from my 1979 brochure. the bicycle has the recessed bolts. i know for sure that they were not recently introduced at press time. my <guess> is 1977. http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/richard_sachs2/rs2.jpg
