Just a comment on the repaint. I have always liked Marinoni's paint jobs, though the Italian paint he uses is bit brittle when compared to the American Imron finishes. They are very pretty, high quality, and his prices certainly can't be beat.

The Victory decals (they used to have a number of generic decal sets, as I recall) were installed at customer request. Marinoni would happily repaint a bike without applying any manufacturer decals. They don't use decals any longer, except for tubing decals, and don't have any left for repaints. They spray the lettering on now through some kind of computerized process. It looks real good, but the lettering is single color--no outlining. They use the special repaint tubing decals supplied by the tubing manufacturer.

I highly recommend Marinoni's repaints and repair services to anyone who wants quality work at a very affordable price. Rechroming is available also. If you are looking for an authentic concourse finish on your classic Hetchins, Marinoni is probably not the place to go.

Did you know that Guiseppe Marinoni won the Mount Washington Hill Climb in his age category last year? If you want a sweet riding custom bike made by a former Italian racer, you really don't have to spend a lot of money. All you have to do is vist or call Montreal.

Truth in Advertising: I used to import Marinoni frames, but that was over 15 years ago. I visited the shop this spring to pick up my Marinoni after being repainted, but I am just a happy customer these days.
