Yes, those are great tires! I've been using the wire bead models (23 and 25mm) exclusively for the last 3 years. The 23's feel very much like the Conti Triathlon tubulars (similar to the current Conti Sprint) that I used. The 25's yield a more "plush" ride, but still lively. And as you mentioned, the other nice thing is that they are inexpensive. I'd add that the amber sidewall (not quite a "skinwall" though) gives it enough of a retro look for use on pre-1984 bikes.
