Faggin are actually located in the province of Padova (Padua) and not Venice (they are adjacent provinces). In Italy, their bikes are recognised as being of better than average quality without any of the mystique of the 'big' names. Names ending in 'in' like the frame builders Faggin and Scapin all come from the Veneto area of Italy. Another snippet of useless trivia unrelated to cycling is that the fashion designer Pierre Cardin is actually of Italian background (from Fagaré in the province of Treviso). Contrary to popular belief, the original pronunciation of his surname is Car-Deen with the accent on the last syllabel.
