Yeah, I didn't make clear what I had in mind. I'm thinking that the rack mounts might be done by inserting a tube thru the stay (perdendicularly) to make a "tunnel" that is enclosed. Then any number of approaches for a wedge could be used to attach stays there. The larger diameter stay would allow a larger diameter hole for the tunnel making it easier to accomplish. What I want to avoid in the demounting of facks is taking out of screws. A wedge holds tight but lets go easily one loose. I'm thinking that nothing should actually be seperated from the rack. The expanders would be part of the rack. Just slide into tunnel and expand with the screw. Is that a better explaination? It may not be what I settle on, but it's my initial thinking about rack mounting.
