Campagnolo distributors in the USA such as Euro Asia Imports and Oschner continued to have Super Record and Superlight pedals available into the mid-late 1980s. And Richie is correct in that the distributors took to calling the "Super Record Road (or Track), steel" groups by the name "Super Record, reduced."

The term "Super Record Road (or Track), steel" shows up in the Campagnolo "Olympic" catalog of 1982.

Campagnolo catalog #18 (printed May '84) shows both SR and SL pedals available. Campagnolo catalog #18 bis (printed Dec '85) shows neither SR nor SL pedals available. So Jerry, you are incorrect in your statement "SL pedals continued to be manufactured after the SR were discontinued." Both were discontinued at the same time.

As far as the term "Super Record, reduced" confusing new cyclists? Like they are not confused about most things?
