"This is a scam that has been going on for at least a year. These hoods fit standard Dia-Compe levers, you can see the punch outs for the "safety levers". Put this hood on a Campy or Campy style lever and the hood will be loose and squirm around. This is not just a shabby misrepresentation but also a safety problem. The seller knows it, he has been told, and he persists."

Sorry if I have caused any confusion... as mentioned earlier, I am not affiliated with and I have never talked to the seller.

When I called Campy USA and asked about gum hood replacements several weeks ago, they (Richard S.) specifically mentioned DiaCompe, Euro-Asia Imports (sold out) and Kool Stop offering possible replacements. When I asked for specific model names/numbers, he could not provide any further info.

Since I have not actually seen these Diacompe Gum Hoods, can anyone else confirm whether or not they have had problems with these DiaCompe Gum Hoods with Campy NR/SR levers? I wonder what is DiaCompe's actual product description is about these hoods? The seller claims to be factory authorized to sell them - whatever that is supposed to mean - warranty???
