Before Chuck refers you to the Timeline... With both hubs and calipers, there are no NR to SR differences. That's the nutshell version. Technically the hubs are Record and these hubs were part of both full NR and full SR bikes. There were a tiny number of SR hubsets made with titanium axles, but they essentially never made it to market. Anyone calling a hub SR or NR on Ebay is simply mistaken. Most people thought of the hubs as NR and knew that SR groups had "NR" hubs. The NR group had brakes that technically were called Record. The brakes in the SR group were properly called SR. They were just like the Record brakes, except for the "drilled out" levers, which were actually not drilled out, but somehow pierced in the manufacturing process.
