so, i got my reply from stronglight as to if they could help define the difference between the 49a and 49d cranks, and it was this:
"Perheaps you have the right solution, but in know nothing about those products which are too old for me."
and they didnt seem too interested in hunting down old catalogues to figure it out... ah well. i tried...
