-- Colorado Century, 1977 -- we rode to the course (40 miles), three laps (150 miles), and home again (40 miles), for a total of 230. In eleven hours. But I had a solid, fast group to ride with. -- Death Ride, maybe '90 or '91? 155 miles, 15,000 feet vertical, mostly solo. -- SF --> Novato --> Petaluma --> Rohnert Park --> Valley Ford --> Bolinas --> up and over Tam/Ridgecrest --> SF, solo. '90. I have no damn idea how far, but I felt pretty good about having done the Tam climb that near to the end of the ride. Beautiful ride.

All on my '75 'Traut

None of which compares to those epic Euro loaded tour miles already described. For anyone who feels cocky about their abilities (I certainly don't), the Denver-Aspen ride is next weekend, I believe. Two-something, with lots and lots of climbing.
