Dear Group, As some of you know, Sally and I were in Milan this May. After visiting the Vigorelli and speeking to Alberto Masi (last time there 15 years ago), while on our way to Venice, we received word that my Mom had passed away. Unexpected; natural and peacefull. That has been my comfort. It was in part, my happiest and yet, my saddest day. Carmela, my Mom always supported my cycling. I miss her greatly. I emmersed myself in riding and "the bike thing" even more to help pass this difficult time. For my mind. One of the things that has been the highlite of my day ( more like 3 or 4 times per day) has been reading this list. Even the 'grease or not to grease ' stuff. Its helped to keep me going. The gatherings are the icing. We pack for Larz tonite. I hope to see many of you there. Aldo, I share your greif. Try to ride more. See you in Pasadena. ciao, John T.Pergolizzi N.Y.C. it got hotter
