Hummmm. I buy lots of new and used parts from the U.S. and never have any problems. Sure, it's a pain to pay the duty (I add it into the price to figure out if the purchase is worthwhile) but a package has never been delayed for an unusual length of time.
I don't see why it would be a hassle for the sender.
