Dear Jim Mcoin , you should be looking for a "Flector" adapter. It screws into the end of the pump and has an annular groove to fit the c shaped peg. The adapter allows you to use the pump quickly - no tube to screw on. I have a 1950 Gillott with one . It had the original pump and the Flector adapter when I bought the bike. I was hammering through Peckham, South London one day on rough roads when the pump jumped off and got run over by a bus. I picked up the pieces but there was no sign of the Flector. I've never seen another one so good luck.Hey, if 2 come your way do let me know.
There were other designs of right angle pump adapters. I have an unmarked one which has replaced the |Flector and another marked D.S.Batam Bte Sg Dg Mark Stevens in sunny but cold Scotland. My first ride on black ice this winter yesterday.
