The differences are substantial.

I based my guess that it might be a very early Euclid on my recollection that the Euclid was Campy's initial MTB gruppo and as this RD is clearly transitional between the NR/SR/Rally type and the later designs, if it were a MTB RD, it would most likely be a Euclid, although I doubt that it is! The lower pivot casting and spring housing on this one look v similar to the NR/SR/Rally respective pieces. I cannot recall any Campy designated MTB RDs with this aspect. In my view this RD remains an enigma.

Apologies if this is outside the time line, but since we apparently don't know what it is how can I be sure? Also, apologies to those who might be offended by my use of the epithet Campy. As a hunt & peck typist I am given to abbreviation (what's the abbreviation for that?)
