I wanted to follow up Raoul Delmare's posting to make a point that I just had this one interaction with Mr. Taylor. One conversation by telephone, e-mails with Mark Lawrence and the receipt from England of this one frame I described earlier.

It has been suggested that Mark Lawrence might have been a pseudonym for a certain charlatan who earlier pulled off (for a while) a scam around Rene Herse lore... I have no way of knowing that one way or the other and I trusted him to be legitimate and I did not have any bad experiences in the original contacts.... But, as Raoul said, Mark is now out of the Taylor coordination business.

Re: contacting Norman Taylor...It is my opinion, based upon my experience, that it would be extremely unwise to attempt long distance business transactions with Norman Taylor. He seems to be a very amiable and accommodating personae is in retirement and is not set up to fully supply products in an efficient or reliable fashion. Mr. Taylor is difficult to communicate with directly, due to language differences, interpretations of color, style, expectations, etc. I spoke with him at length on the telephone but I do not think he understood my requests at all and things didn't work out in the final count. .. On the other hand, if you were actually in the UK and able to deal directly with him, I have the feeling things could be much more acceptable.

Re: the Mondrian decals that everyone would like a set of (in reserve if not immediately) maybe it's time to form a buying group to commission those to be reproduced. (Oh no, here comes the decal debates again.. No, no!!!)
