What I find interesting in all this talk about whether Faliero Masi built frames with his own hands start to finish or built frames with the help of others (help with the filing?) or had others make the frames to his order is this: is it so hard to imagine Faliero as an ambitious young man in his early 20s building frames all by himself? Ugo De Rosa? Ernesto Colnago?

Seems like everyone knows these guys as successful business men in their 40s, 50s and 60s. Picture who these guys were in their early 20s: obviously driven, passionate frame builders that did it all by themselves when they were young and poor.
