Too true and an excellent point. One of the best frame builders I've seen has never had his name on the frames he's built that I've heard.

Very well put! Now if you were trying for the wow factor or reselling it on ebay it would make a big difference if Mario's name was on the bike, but in ride quality not any difference. The ride quality for me can only be judged once the bike is setup to my measurements to the exact fraction of an inch and the bike has to be my size. Having ridden many bikes over the years and just this past weekend rode Tom D.'s R. Sachs 25th and Lou D.'s Kvale for a few blocks I have come to think that while the bike rides nice I can't fully judge the bike's ride quality until it is setup for me although I have the feeling that they are schweet. Even the Masi that I bought back in April and sold to Karen R. at the Cirque had a nice feel to it, but again I couldn't, in my mind, pass judgment on the ride of the bike until it was setup to my measurements and even then for me it would be hard as the bike was too small to give it a fair evaluation though it was sweet enough I would like to find one in my size.

The bottom line for me is in the ride quality and not who made the bike. Everyone has different requirements they look for in a bike and those that find all those requirements and qualities in one bike have found something special.

Mark, have one special bike and several nice ones and another one on the way, Poore
