Hi folks,
What is the smallest chain-ring which I can put on a 1983 NR 144BD crank before the chain is dragging on the spider? I want to down-gear the Bob Jackson a little for longer rides and the present set has 52T-43T rings. I have picked up a 49T and would like a smaller inside ring. Will it take a 40T? Is 43T or maybe 42T the smallest I can go?
